Privacy Policy

Overview

AfterSession is designed with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or session notes. Everything stays on your device.

Data Storage

All data you enter into AfterSession — including client information, session notes, and quick notes — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data is protected by iOS file-level encryption and is not accessible when your device is locked.

We do not operate servers that store your data. We have no access to your notes, client names, or any content you create within the app.

No Data Collection

AfterSession does not collect:

  • Personal information
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Location data
  • Crash reports (we do not use third-party crash reporting services)

No Third-Party SDKs

AfterSession does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service used is Apple's StoreKit for managing in-app subscriptions, which is handled entirely by Apple.

Biometric Authentication

AfterSession offers optional app lock using Face ID or Touch ID. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessed or stored by AfterSession. The app only receives a success or failure result from the system.

Backup & Export

You can export individual session notes as PDF files and create encrypted backups of your entire data. These files are generated locally on your device. How you share or store these files (via AirDrop, email, cloud storage, etc.) is entirely your choice and responsibility.

Subscriptions

AfterSession Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details. Subscription status is verified locally on your device using Apple's StoreKit 2 framework.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all AfterSession data at any time by deleting the app. No data remains on any server because no data was ever sent to one.

Children's Privacy

AfterSession is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app is designed for licensed professionals and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
